Introduction to Longitude School of Navigation

Specialises in providing RYA Theory Courses on behalf of the Royal Yachting Association for both commercial and leisure students.

Our aim is to ensure that our students not only know the methods involved with navigation and seamanship but to also have sufficient experience of as many different scenarios so that the student's knowledge is firmly engrained in their long term memory so that the methods employed become second nature.

We support our students throughout the length of their course as quickly and promptly as possible. This we achieve by having tutors and administrative staff whose only role is to support our students learning experience.

Learning should be a fun and enjoyable experience. As soon as the student becomes unhappy or are unable to understand a concept or method, they can turn to one of our tutors for advice and guidance. Tutors can offer support and talk to the student individually, “there’s always more than one way to skin a cat”. Our full time tutors have 20+ years experience of teaching The Royal Yachting Association theory and practical courses.
